Alaskan born lead singer and founder of ionia, Blaise Beyhan moved to New York City at the age of 18 in hopes of meeting other musicians who were as serious about their craft as he was. Through a mutual friend he met drummer Donato whom he formed an instant musical connection with. Blaise and Donato decided to look for a guitarist and finally found a match in Brooklyn born Craig, thus forming the core of ionia. A few months later, London born Freddy joined the band completing the ionia line-up. This New York City based band's extensive national touring took an international twist when they performed in Quepos, Costa Rica in January 2008. With their smooth emotionally driven vocals blended with melodic yet fierce rock instrumentals, ionia has a universal appeal.
