About Us
Keynote New York began in the summer of 2003 as an initiative at New York University by Jana Kohoutova, student of the Entertainment and Media Management program. Inspired by the concept of keeping the network of future music industry professionals and artists going beyond the classroom, Jana created an Internet networking forum. This forum allowed the participants to broaden their horizons within the industry by staying informed, sharing the latest music news, job/gig postings and event invitations.    The network further evolved when Trina Campbell and Nelia Wolosky joined the team, and a grass-roots networking group was incorporated in the summer of 2006, making Keynote New York, LLC one of the music industry’s growing women-owned music consulting companies.

Jana Kohoutova – Founder & President
Jana graduated from Schiller International University in Florida with a Bachelors degree in International Business and a Masters degree in Management Information Technology.  For the past seven years she has been working in the financial industry and has a broad understanding about how to run a successful business operation. She earned a Certification in Entertainment and Media Management with a concentration in music from New York University. Growing up around her dad working as a sound engineer, she developed an excellent ear for talent that she further defined through many music arrangements as a singer in various rock bands.

Trina Campbell – Marketing and Public Relations
The product of a family of musicians and artists, Trina Campbell studied music and dance as a child.  With a degree in Political Science and a minor in Theatre and Dance from East Carolina University, she taught with the Rockettes as well as pursuing an extensive career in Marketing.  With a background in direct marketing, cause marketing, promotions, event production, and sponsorships, she has worked in several capacities in the music industry, including artist management, promotion, and event production.  It was while she was pursuing her certification in Entertainment and Media Management at NYU that she met fellow Keynote New York co-founders, Jana Kohoutova and Nelia Wolosky in 2003.  Trina’s extensive experience has led her to manage marketing and industry relations for Keynote New York, including industry professionals seeking song placement.

Nelia Wolosky – Artist Relations
Born and raised in New York City, Nelia Wolosky has both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and a Master's degree in Scientific Research in Education. Although her profession has always been in the field of education, it is no surprise that coming from a family of musicians, she would somehow find herself in the music industry. Nelia has balanced her full time teaching career with her passion for music by becoming involved in a variety of music related side projects ranging from concert photography to promotion of local rock bands. Because she believes that "knowledge is power" and because she considers herself a life long learner, Nelia furthered her education by attending New York University's certificate program in Entertainment and Media Management with a concentration in music. Participation in this program equipped her with the knowledge needed to better guide bands who sought her advice. Nelia Wolosky's years of hands on involvement in the New York City music scene has earned her the respect and trust of countless artists and bands leading to management of Artist Relations for Keynote New York.
